Red Dot was our first semi-successful creative AI that can come up with its own ideas and create things within the program. Red Dot was created sometime around October 15, 1996, and was fed large amounts of data, images centered around carnivals and festivals, and material from the C&A offices. This was done at the behest of Grant Best and Mike Dobby, who had a very unique and bizarre way of thinking, one that other employees had a difficult time making sense of. Over time, the more information it absorbed, the more unstable it became. This led to it to being contained and development began on Blue Dot instead. Even so, Red Dot was still considered a semi-successful attempt and treated as a template for future projects, such as Green Dot Classic. A commercial license for Red Dot is issued at $29.99. For inquiries about purchasing a commercial license to Red Dot, call 1-800-CAINE or message us at info@c&a.ai.
